Our Story

Fifty years of depth, surfaced fully formed

Metolius Health did not start from zero. We bring enterprise healthcare operations to healthcare organizations, a services operator and a technology platform under one contract, built on decades of managed-service work for the world's largest health systems and insurers.

Where the name comes from

The Metolius is a spring-fed river in central Oregon. It does not build from a trickle. It emerges from the base of a mountain already full-grown, a constant flow at a constant 48 degrees, never dammed, exempt even in the 2015 Oregon drought.

We chose the name because it describes how enterprise operations should feel. A service level that never drifts. Operations that never stall. Nothing that blocks the work. You do not wait quarters for the river to gather. It arrives fully formed and it keeps flowing. That is the promise behind the name.

Fifty years of depth

Metolius Health is the combined depth of two organizations. Continuant brings thirty years of managed-service work for the world's largest health systems and insurers, including recognition as a two-time Microsoft Partner of the Year. PPS brings twenty years of healthcare operations depth. Together that is fifty years of running the operational work that keeps healthcare organizations paid, compliant, and contracted.

That depth is not a claim on a slide. More than 1,000 clinics run on the platform today. Credentialing and enrollment, revenue cycle, payer contracting, and value-based care, the queues that decide whether an organization gets paid on time, are worked by dedicated teams against enterprise SLAs. We built Metolius Health to bring that enterprise capability to every organization that needs it, across segments and at any scale.

Why now

Healthcare operations have never been harder to run in-house. Payer rules multiply and change. Value-based care moves risk onto the provider and demands data most organizations cannot assemble on their own. Credentialing and enrollment backlogs quietly delay revenue for months. Each of these is a fragmented, high-stakes operational problem.

The common answer has been to buy more software or hire more staff. Neither closes the gap on its own. Software without an operating team leaves the work undone. A team without a platform cannot see or scale the work. What healthcare needs is both at once, a services operator and a technology vendor under one contract, one SLA. And AI is finally mature enough to sit inside that operation: to predict what is coming, draft what is routine, and watch the queues without stopping. That combination is why Metolius exists now rather than a decade ago.

What we believe

Run it as one operation

Platform and people belong together. PracticeOS is the operating layer; a dedicated team works your queues on it. One contract, one SLA, one accountable operation, not a stack of vendors you have to coordinate.

A service level that never drifts

Enterprise SLAs are the baseline, not the aspiration. The standard we commit to on day one is the standard you can set your systems by every day after.

Everything visible in one place

Operations you cannot see are operations you cannot trust. myMetolius surfaces live KPIs so the state of the work is always in view, not reconstructed from a monthly report.

AI inside the operation, not on top of it

AI earns its place by doing the work: predicting what is coming, drafting what is routine, watching the queues. It runs where the operation runs, under the same controls.

Trust is engineered, not asserted

SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA compliance, enterprise SSO, role-based access control, and full audit logging are built in. Healthcare data is held to the standard healthcare requires.

The people behind the work

Metolius Health is run by operators, people who have spent careers inside healthcare revenue cycle, credentialing, payer contracting, and enterprise managed services. The teams working your queues are dedicated, not shared, and they carry the same enterprise discipline that shaped three decades of Continuant's managed-service work.

We will introduce the leaders behind Metolius here directly, with their names, roles, and the experience they bring.
